The free call is a 15-minute conversation where we help you understand your situation and choose what to do next. We listen, we orient you, we don't deep-dive into your numbers.

Quick VAT Answer is the paid service that comes after, when you actually need an answer with research, references and a written reply you can act on. Some clients only ever need the free call. Others book Quick VAT Answer straight away. Both are fine.

How fast will I get a reply?

For the free call, we get back to you within 3 business hours to schedule it.

For Quick VAT Answer queries, most are answered within 2 business hours. For more complex matters (Health Checks, Recovery Plans, HMRC responses, registration files), turnaround is 1 to 3 business days. We'll tell you upfront what to expect.

How much does each solution cost?

The free call is free, with no commitment. Beyond that, each solution has its own pricing based on complexity : Quick VAT Answer is the most affordable starting point for one-off queries, Health Checks and Recovery Plans are quoted based on scope, and VAT Full Cover is a custom ongoing arrangement.

Pricing depends on complexity, so we always confirm the cost in writing before any work starts. No surprises, no hidden fees.

Do I have to commit to anything after the free call?

Not at all. The free call exists so you can get clarity and decide what's best for you. Some people leave with a clear plan they execute themselves. Others book a paid service. Others come back six months later. All of that is perfectly fine.

We don't do hard-sells. If we don't think we're the right fit for your situation, we'll tell you and point you to someone who is.

Can I just ask one question, or do I need a recurring service?

Yes, you can absolutely ask just one question. Quick VAT Answer is built for exactly that : a single VAT query, answered properly. Most of our clients use us this way, on and off, whenever something tricky comes up.

If you'd prefer ongoing peace of mind, we also offer retainer-style arrangements for businesses that want a VAT specialist on standby. Both options exist, no pressure either way.

My accountant already handles my VAT. Can The VAT Line still help?
